Zelensky doesn't know who had killed Sheremet

The President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he did not know who the murderer of journalist Pavlo Sheremet was. He said this at a press conference on May 20.

"I do not know who the killer is. Believe me, if I had known, I would have done anything, even outlawed, to arrest these people. Whether these are the representatives who are currently tried, or others, or maybe one of these and plus others, I do not know. I tell it you frankly, " as Volodymyr Zelensky said.

He added that he "regrets a lot that we lost any journalist."

"I am very sorry that I was not president then. Maybe then, these bodies, which probably are or any of them were involved in this (murder. - Ed. ), then they would not have done it. I do not I know, "he said.

"I want no journalist to die like that with me," Zelensky said.

As IMI reported, Pavel Sheremet died in Kyiv on July 20, 2016 in a car blast.
