The minibus carrying the Russian propagandists who came under had been stolen from Suspilne Kherson
The minibus carrying the Tavria propagandists who came under fire in occupied Kherson on October 20 belongs to Suspilne's Kherson branch. The occupiers had stolen it.
This information was confirmed to an IMI representative by Suspilne.Kherson manager Mykhailo Svarychevsky.
"As of today, only the vehicle has been identified, and I see that some person wrote something about a box in the comments. It is difficult to say what is in the car, because our office has been occupied since March 2. It's been a long time. The cars may contain anything, from technical equipment to household items (furniture, everyday items)," said the branch manager.
According to him, in the first days of the occupation, there were reports of trucks coming to the branch's office and taking a lot of things away, but what exactly was taken and where is unknown.
"Three months or so ago, when the first videos created on our premises were incoming, they showed all the outdated equipment that was in our warehouses. This equipment was to be written off. There was nothing new there," Mykhailo added.
Mykhailo Svarychevsky noted that a criminal case for illegal tookover of the building has already been opened.
"Unfortunately, since we do not have access to the premises, we cannot take inventory of the property, find out what is there and what is not, in what condition it is. But even regarding the car that has 'shown up,' we will 100% contact the police to document this on paper," said the manager of the "Suspilne Kherson" branch.
As IMI reported, on October 20, Oleg Klokov, a Russian propagandist and former employee of the Perviy Kanal and RT, died in occupied Kherson. He was helping the occupation administration organize the work of propaganda TV channel "Tavria" in Kherson.
On March 3 in Kherson, the occupiers took over the premises of Suspilne branch, the staff continues to work remotely. Armed men set up trip wires around the building. In addition, the occupiers, who had seized the television studio and the TV center, cut off the Ukrainian television signal.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal investigation into the seizure and mining of the Kherson branch of Suspilne Broadcaster by Russian security forces. The case has been opened under Art. 341, part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: seizure of state or public buildings, facilities, as well as for violations of the laws and customs of war.
On May 11, the collaborators announced that the TV and radio company "Tavria" will start broadcasting in the region.
On May 16, Suspilne announced that the Russian military had looted the Suspilne Kherson branch and was using it as a basis to create a propaganda channel.
