Russian propagandist and soldier Egor Guzenko (call sign "Number Thriteen") called for the murder of Ukrainian children on his Telegram channel on March 13, 2024.

Guzenko posted a video of schoolchildren singing the Ukrainian song "Batko Nash Bandera" (Bandera is Our Father) and commented as follows:

"Remember! The enemy has no age nor gender. Tomorrow, these children will grow up to be the new Banderites, and they cannot be cured. This virus can only be treated by killing the infected. They are no longer people."

Volodymyr Zelenchuk, a lawyer at the Institute of Mass Information, says that such posts are a call for the genocide of Ukrainians.

"Such posts are literal public incitement to committing the crime of genocide against Ukrainians. They have a wide target audience and argue for a complete physical extermination of the Ukrainian nation. The Convention on the Prevention of the Crime of Genocide and its Punishment was created precisely for the purpose of criminalizing such mouthpieces for genocidal rhetoric. Russia is still considered a signatory and ratifier of the Convention, but that country's authorities deliberately allow the spread of genocidal ideas among its military," says the lawyer.

According to him, this is another proof that genocidal acrions by individual Russians are not a coincidence, but a systematic practice supported and approved by Russia's top leaders.

Who is Egor Guzenko

Egor Guzenko runs his Telegram channel "Number Thirteen", which has over 200,000 subscribers. There, he writes about the Russian invasion of Ukraine, regularly makes anti-Ukrainian posts and rejoices over Ukrainian civilian casualties from Russian shelling.

Guzenko may be complicit in the brutal execution of a Ukrainian soldier, whose beheading was recorded on video. Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazansky pointed this out. He posted a screenshot of Guzenko's post with a photo of a Russian soldier holding a human head in his hand. Guzenko captioned the photo: "Greek myth reference."

On March 11, 2024, Guzenko staged his death. The reports of his alleged death were shared by multiple Russian propaganda channels in Telegram, who posted a photo where he appeared to be lying dead. Later, he announced that it was a "special operation" to "detect DIU agents" in Russia.

According to Ukrainian media, Guzenko was born in Stavropol and served in the Russian airborne troops. In 2015, he joined the ranks of so-called "DPR" terrorists, taking the call sign "Number Thirteen". He has also fought in Syria. Later, he took part in several fights in Russia and shot a passerby in the face with a gas pistol in downtown St. Petersburg in 2021.
