Lawsuit filed by regulator to revoke license of Nash TV channel

The National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting seized the court asking to revoke the broadcasting license for “Nash 365” TV channel. This claim was received by the District Administrative Court of Kyiv (DACK), as this was reported on September 16 on the website of the DACK.
The judge is to decide whether to hold the hearing on this administrative lawsuit open to public or behind closed doors.
Thelawsuit followed an unscheduled remote inspection, due to which, in particular, the experts found elements of incitement to national, racial and religious hatred and hate speech in ideas voiced in programs of “Nash 365” LLC.
In the space of this year, the court received more than 15 lawsuits challenging the decisions of the National Council to order inspections or the results of these inspections of the TV channel.
As IMI reported, on August 19, the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting decided to demand the court to revoke the license of Nash TV channel due to its calls inciting religious hatred and animosity.
On August 19, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting scheduled unscheduled on-site inspections of Nash 365 LLC (Nash logo) and Nasha Prague LLC (Maxi-TV logo) due to hate speech.
