Journalist who sued Palytsia Foundation for access, won in the court of appeal

On December 11, Lviv Administrative Court of Appeal partly satisfied the appeal of the journalist Iryna Musiy (Arina Krapka) on the resolution of the first instance court, which refused satisfy her claim against the charity foundation of Ihor Palytsia “Tilky Razom” for non-providing response to information request. Iryna Musiy reported about this in her Facebook entry and confirmed to IMI.
According to her, the court of appeal satisfied her claim in the part of providing information about the expenses of the charity foundation.
As IMI reported before, on May 10, 2017, journalist from Lutsk Iryna Musiy (Arina Krapka) sued charity foundation of Ihor Palytsia "Tilky Razom" in Volyn District administrative court because of failure to provide information about incomes and expenditure of the foundation since 2014 on request.
The foundation replied that they are "not administrators" of this information.
On June 27, 2017, Volyn District court completely denied the claim of Iryna Musiy against the charity foundation “Ihor Palytsia Foundation “Tilky Razom”. The journalist filed an appeal after that, contesting this decision in Lviv court of second instance.
