In Ivano-Frankivsk, equipment was stolen from office of online media outlet "PIC"

Ivano-Frankivsk online media outlet “Prykarpattia Information Corporation” (PIC) informed that equipment was stolen from their editorial office. This was reported on August 14 at the web-site of the media outlet.

The theft became known today, on August 14, on 7 AM, when a journalist of PIc came to the office. Five computers were stolen from there, and all database that was on them.

“This is nothing else byt an attack against independent media outlet right before the election campaign, which in fact already started”, the media outlet comments.

Police was notified about the theft, the investigation is pending.

Photo- and video equipment that was in the office was not stolen. The total value of stolen equipment is about 80 thousand hryvnias, "Halytskyi korespondent" reports.

The founder if the PIC project Oksana Kaminska commented that "it is surprising that they have stolen just notebook, as there was other valuable equipment in the office. As if someone really does not want us to work".
