IMI amended the list of online media outlets that it monitors for jeansa and standards of journalism

NGO “Institute of mass information” made changes in the list of online media outlets media outlets that are being monitored for adherence of basic standards of journalism and presence of materials that are likely covert advertisement.
Instead of the website LB.ua, IMI experts will now monitor the website TSN.ua, which, according to the rating of bigmir.net, holds the second position in the rating, with 235 337 hosts and coverage of 16.71%.
For the context, IMI has been conducting the monitoring of printed and online mass media for adherence to basic standards of journalism and presence of materials that are likely covert advertisement. The reports based on the monitoring can be found at IMI website in the section “Research”.
Currently, the project is supported by Internews network. The monitoring covers 10 online media outlets (UNIAN, “Obozrevatel”, “Censor.net”, 112.ua, “Strana.ua”, TSN.ua, “Korrespondent.net”, “Ukrainska pravda”, “Liga.net”, and Ukrinform), and five printed media outlets (“Fakty i kommentarii”, “Segodnia”, “Vesti”, “KP v Ukraine”, “Hazeta po-ukrainski”).
Also, in January of 2018, IMI updated its Methodology for freedom of press monitoring “Freedom of press barometer”.
