Armenia bans entry for Simonyan
Armenia has banned entry to the country for Russian propagandist of Armenian descent, Margarita Simonyan. She announced this on her Telegram channel.
She added that Russian politician Konstantin Zatulin has also been banned from entering the country.
"Konstantin Zatulin, who has fiercely supported Armenia for many years, has been banned from entering Armenia by the current Armenian leader. So have I, by the way," Simonyan wrote.
We remind you that Margarita Simonyan is one of Russian propaganda's key figures. She is the head of the Kremlin-controlled multilingual TV network RT (formerly Russia Today), whose content primarily targets foreign audiences and the Russian diaspora abroad. After the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the RT network has been sanctioned for spreading disinformation. IMI wrote more about her here.
The Ukrainian authorities are calling to bring not only Russian officials and their president, but also the Kremlin's mouthpieces to justice, as without them the Russian dictator would not have had such public support for the war against Ukraine.
Namely, this pertains to the following propagandists: Vladimir Solovyov, Margarita Simonyan, Olga Skabeyeva, Evgeniy Popov, Anton Krasovsky, Dmitry Kiselyov, etc.
