President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy put into effect the June 29 decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the creation of a register of oligarchs.

The according decree №459/2022 was posted on the website of the Head of State.

"Enact the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated June 29, 2022 'On the approval of the Provision on the Register of persons who have significant economic and political weight in public life (oligarchs), the procedure for its creation and maintenance,'" the decree reads.

According to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, the register of oligarchs will be kept in electronic form. At the NSDC Apparatus, the appropriate structural subdivisions will be assigned for the creation and maintenance of the register.
