Serviceman, TSN cameraman Yevhen Solovey was killed in combat on 27 March, 1+1 Media reported in a Facebook post.
The company said that Yevhen Solovey had joined their team in 2011.
“Ukrainian viewers have seen thousands of important events through his eyes since then. Yevhen had been working together with war reporters on the battlefield since 2014, recording the truth about the war,” 1+1 Media wrote.
In 2022, Yevhen Solovey enlisted voluntarily, becoming a drone pilot.

“Zhenya was truly a source of light, a great person. He always smiled, supported others, and could find encouraging words to say even in the direst moments. Colleagues remember him as reliable, sincere, and very humane – someone whose presence was always peaceful,” the company said.
Details about Yevhen Solovey’s funderal will be announced later.
According to the Institute of Mass Information, Yevhen Solovey is the 128th media professional to die in the course of Russia’s aggression in Ukraine.
