"We see a great risk for further investigation. The bail set by the court is relatively small and can be paid quickly either by the suspect's relatives or by those who benefit from his speedy release. Because he is only a suspect of arson and can testify against the organizers or customers. Instead, if he is released and goes into hiding from the investigation, it will significantly hamper the progress of the investigations. As far as we know, the other two suspects are already hiding from the investigation, ” Oksana Maksymenyuk, lawyer for Borys Mazur commented it on.
As IMI reported, on August 26, police detained a suspect of arson of a Skhemy journalist's car. He said two of the four suspects in the arson of the car editorial placed on wanted list.
After the arrest Andriy Portnov published a photo of a press card, which was allegedly found during a search in the case of the "Skhemy” car arson. This was an expired press card of a freelance correspondent of the party newspaper “Solidarity. Petro Poroshenko's bloc ”.
