State Special Communications Service investigates what caused websites of the President and SBU website to stop working

The administration of the State Special Communications and Information Protection Service of Ukraine initiated investigation to clarify the cause of malfunctions of the websites of some governmental agencies. This is reported on the Special Communications Service website.

As the Service informs, the preliminary inspection established that the prolonged downtime of these information platforms was lacking reserve power supply for some services of the Special Communications Service.

Currently, measures are taken to secure additional reserve power supply for critical resources.

After the investigation is over, the Service will inform about causes and circumstances of the incident, and any people related to them.

For the context, on July 27 the website of the President of Ukraine was down, and on July 28, website of SBU stopped working. 

On July 29, SBU reported that information on their official website is temporarily not being update due to technical issues at the platform of State Special Communications Service.
