Special police officers detained UNIAN correspondent in courthouse in Kyiv, hitting him several times

On October 24, special police forces detained UNIAN correspondent Serhiy Lefter and about 20 supporters of Kokhanivskyi, UNIAN reports. According to Lefter, the detained are brought to detainee transportation van. Some of them have blood on their faces. Also, the journalist was hit several times, in spite of yelling that he is a journalist and he has an ID. The ID card was pried off from his hands. In the night on the eve of October 24, supporters of OUN volunteer movement Mykola Kokhanivskyi smashed the inside of the Sviatoshyn district courthouse. They smashed the room and started making barricades from the furniture to prevent transportation of Kokhanivskyi to the jail after the court selects a pre-trial restriction which was planned in the morning. In his comment for IMI, Serhiy Lefter informed that he and the detained activists are brought to Shevchenkivskyi district police station, and he will have to give explanation on what he was doing near the courthouse.
