Since the beginning of 2016, National Council penalized 80 broadcasters in Zakarpattia for not disclosing their ownership structure

National TV and Radio Broadcasting Council imposed monetary penalties on 80 cable and media operators of Zakarpattia for 2016 and part of 2017 for failure to file (or untimely filing) of information on their ownership structure. This was reported to the local IMI representative by the National council, in response to the relevant information request. In 2016, 57 companies were penalized, the majority of them were cable television operators. The amounts of monetary penalties are different for each individual broadcaster or provider, but usually the amounts are under 5000 hryvnias.
