The MPs are going to make the bill which is aimed to restore the institution of state television and radio broadcasting, as Oleh Dunda, a MP from the “Servant of the People” faction, said. Oleh Dunda announced it on November 30 on his Facebook page.

According to Oleр Dunda, in early 2022 the bill will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.

"We have to restore the institution of state television and radio to be able to confront this information war with Russia. But the state of Ukraine does not have any of its own channels, and it cannot influence other media for the sake of the national security. I propose not to waste time and create a state news group corporation that will be a customer of quality national content from independent Ukrainian creative producers, young artists, "he wrote.

According to him, the state will only be the customer of the content, and the product will be broadcast on all TV and radio channels: from national to regional ones.

He added that all media will be able to receive content on a competitive basis and will be able to choose "a large number of quality national product."

“Changing the rules of the game in the information field is not a whimsy, it is a question of the country's survival. Ukraine ?? should be given the right to form criteria and requirements for our national content. And they must be followed by all major media inside Ukraine. There is no other way to protect onself in the information war, ” as the MP wrote.

"By the way, we are already drafting a bill, and it will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada early next year," as Dunda wrote.

It will be recalled that on March 1, 2020, the state TV channel Dom, which was created to broadcast to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine on the basis of the UATV foreign broadcasting channel, began broadcasting. UATV continued to broadcast on one of the satellites, broadcasting reruns of the programs.

On January 20, 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers transferred the “Multimedia Platform of Foreign Broadcasting of Ukraine” to the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.

In August 2021, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he wanted Dom to speak not only to the occupied districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the occupied Crimea , but also for the internally displaced persons in Ukrainian-controlled territory.

On October 28, 2021, Detector Media reported that in 2021 Dom TV had spent UAH 30 million (about 1,126 million) on Ukraine-wide advertising, almost all these funds were spent for promotion of the TV channel on the temorarily occupied territories.
