Russian propaganda media are actively pushing the subject of negotiations.

This was reported in the Center for Countering Disinformation at the NSDC.

"According to Zakharova (Russian MFA spokeswoman – Ed.), Russia stays in dialogue with everyone at all times, even in the most difficult situations. The CCD specialists note Russia and specifically Putin promoting the subject of negotiations, as well as active support from Russia's high-ranking officials and mass media," the post reads.

The NSDC noted that "the statements regarding negotiations seem quite rich, but Russia insists that negotiations should be held on their terms."

"Such statements are targeting the Western audience and are meant to show the world that it is Ukraine who does not want to end this war. Through negotiation, Russia plans to freeze the hostilities so it can build up its military capacity and proceed with further occupation of Ukraine," the Center for Countering Disinformation stressed.

The CCD also reminded that negotiations with Russia can only be possible if it ceases waging war against Ukraine immediately and withdraws its troops from Ukraine's 1991 borders.

As IMI reported, on November 1, Russian and pro-Russian Telegram channels once again started spreading an old fake about the Polish mass media allegedly speaking about dividing Ukraine between neighboring states.
