On March 24, the 3rd workshop of IMI’s School of Safety for Journalists

The third workshop "Work of journalists in hotspots" is to be held on March 24 at 16:00 within the IMI’s School of Safety for Journalists.

At the webinar, the participants will learn the planning of a trip to the danger zone, what is the necessary equipment for journalists, what are the peculiarities of behavior under shellfire, how to communicate with the military, how to pass the checkpoints. The participants will get skills how to avoid mines, traps, trip wires. They will learn to prepare field ration.

The webinar will be useful for journalists who have never worked in conflict zones and for journalists who have an extensive experience working in hazardous conditions and need to update their knowledge. The expert will speak of some surprising points that can await journalists in hotspots and give professional safety advice.

The coach is Oleksiy Pavliychuk, a security consultant.

Registered participants will receive a link to the Zoom conference and training hand-outs. 

The duration of the webinar is one hour, and will be followed with "questions and answers" part.
