IMI launches annual Safety School for Journalists
Safety School provides four thematic security training modules for media professionals. There are four online seminars in each module.
A special training module will be organized in four regions where the journalists face the most physical aggression.
The aim of the school is to update safety knowledge and skills for media professionals. According to international standards, one should update one’s security knowledge every three years. Due to the pandemic, it is not possible to conduct large offline trainings, but webinars will help to develop an understanding of basic security protocols and have a clear algorithm of actions to respond to challenges, as well as promote psychological resilience.
Webinars will be conducted by influential and successful professional trainers, media professionals with an extensive experience of work in challenging situations who will improve practical skills of participants.
Basic training modules are scheduled for March, June, September and November.
