Suspilne Broadcasting will stream the inauguration of the newly elected 47th US President Donald Trump live on all platforms on January 20, the broadcaster announced on their website.
The Suspilne filming crew (Olena Kurenkova, Vladyslav Kravets, and Anastasia Isayenkova) will be in Washington producing exclusive reports and features on the security measures, guests, and details of the ceremony. Their reports will be available for watching and listening on the Suspilne News platforms.
“We are closely following the events in the US, the statements made by Trump himself and his inner circle regarding Ukraine and European security in general. And it is obvious that the audience in Ukraine has an unprecedented interest in this year’s elections and inauguration. It is still unclear whether President Zelensky will receive a personal invitation to the event and whether he can meet the newly elected president in person, or whether Trump will mention Ukraine in his inaugural speech. We will be watching all this from Washington, analyzing it in our broadcasts and reports,” said Khrystyna Havryliuk, news producer general at Suspilne.
Watch the livestream of the ceremony and the discussion of it in the Suspilne studio in the special broadcast Suspilne Studio on Pershyi TV, as well as on Ukrainian Radio and on the YouTube channel Suspilne News. It starts at 6:15 p.m.
On the day of Trump’s inauguration, Suspilne Studio's broadcast will feature well-known diplomats and America experts.
“We will show the preparations for the ceremony and the inauguration itself live with simultaneous interpretation; we will take a look behind the scenes of the 'Trump era' in global politics before the event and discuss what we saw and heard in terms of Ukraine's interests afterwards,” added Iryna Malykhina, editor-in-chief of the Suspilne Studio project.
Earlier, Suspilne shared their wartime safety protocol.
