Oleh Sentsov suffers a concussion while taking part in the counteroffensive
Ukrainian filmmaker and serviceman Oleh Sentsov reports receiving a concussion on July 8 while taking part in the UAF counteroffensive, and having been hospitalezed. He said this in a video he posted on Facebook on July 9.
"Just got out of a fight, those of us who survived. We completed our task, took a very difficult, very important landmark so that our counteroffensive could continue," said Oleh.
According to him, some soldiers are wounded. The filmmaker himself suffered a concussion.
"Lying around here, waiting to be taken back. I have a concussion, nothing serious. I will lie here for a bit and go back to my unit. Why am I telling you all this? So that you know that we will defeat everyone in this war no matter what, but you all should know the price that we are all paying," said Sentsov.
In the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion, Sentsov joined the Kyiv territorial defense, then fought in the hottest areas of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts. Last year, in December, Sentsov had a son, named Demyan. They only met in person in March. The Ukrainian filmmaker has said that he was fighting to "bring the Ukrainian flag back to Crimea," reports Krym.Realii.
As IMI reported, Oleh Sentsov and 34 other Ukrainians arrived back in Ukraine on September 7, 2019, after being imprisoned by Russia. In 2015, the North Caucasus District Military Court of the Russian Federation sentenced Oleh Sentsov to 20 years in prison on terrorism charges.
