November 24: deadline to submit applications for competition of gender issues stories

November 24 is deadline for submission of the applications for the 2nd competition of stories on gender issues for the journalists of regional printed press and web-based editions (on a fee basis). The Volyn press club told it on its website.

The organizers will select 20 editions which will publish stories covering the gender equity issues in January-October 2020 (each edition has to publish 10 stories).

To participate in the competition, you have to send a letter with:

• name, phone number of the applicant / applicant;
• name of the edition, website link, and Facebook page (if any)
• the name of the editor-in-chief;
• why you, your edition are interested in gender issues and what topics do you consider necessary to be covered (name them and give a brief description - two or three sentences).

Please, send your application to: [email protected] , specifying in the subject line of the letter: "For the competition of stories on gender issues".

The deadline is up to and including November 24. The results of the selection will be announced no later than November 30.

Selected participants will be invited to the Gender Media School in December 2019. Further details will be communicated later.

Competition will be held within the framework of the Gender Sensitive Space for Contemporary Journalism project implemented by the Volyn Press Club in partnership with the Gender Center, the Independent Public Network of Press Clubs of Ukraine, and with the support of the Ukrainian Media Program (Internews).
