The Ministry of Defense offered the editor-in-chief of the online publication "Censor.NET" Yuriy Butusov "to take one of the ministerial positions." This was reported on December 8 on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Defense.

"The Ministry of Defense offers Yuriy Butusov to take one of the ministerial positions in the areas in which his professional attention is focused. These could be, for example, areas of armaments or logistics," the statement said.

The ministry notes that Butusov was one of the most uncompromising experts on the Defense Ministry.

"Some may consider his journalistic materials biased, manipulative, speculative. Some may question the author's competence, the reliability of his sources and the validity of his conclusions. One thing, which is impossible to deny: his personal involvement. When it is question of constructive stand, this does command respect. Critical attitude does not exclude cooperation and search of points of contact ", - they said in the message.

So, according to the Ministry of Defense, "for an active citizen there is always an opportunity to move from theory to practice, from the position of an outside mentor to an official who is ready to prove in practice the value of their knowledge and words."

As IMI reported, on September 3, 2020, the editor-in-chief of the online publication "Censor.net" Yuriy Butusov said that he was summoned for questioning to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine in the case of a special operation aimed to detain 28 members of Wagner Group in Belarus.

On September 28, 2020, host Yanina Sokolova and editor-in-chief of the online publication Censor.Net Yuriy Butusov were summoned for questioning by the State Bureau of Investigation in the case of a special operation to detain 28 members of Wagner Group in Belarus.
