The Institute of Mass Information’s regional hub Mediabaza Cherkasy organised an anti-stress yoga class for media professionals and journalism students on 30 May.
At first, the class was supposed to take place outdoors, but the weather had its way. So the event was held in a studio. However, this did not stand between the participants and the main experience: peace, focusing on their own bodies, and an opportunity to set the deadlines, news, and daily worries aside for at least an hour.

“It was my first time doing a yoga class — and I have no regrets. It was a really cool experience for me. With how our work is, such practices are a must. Also, the coach today was very comfortable. Practicing with her felt like you were with ‘your’ kind of person,” ICTV journalist Iryna Tsymbal shared.

The class was given by Nina Lyozina, a coach at the Mama Prana studio. She helped the participants relieve physical and emotional tension, restore internal balance, and take time for themselves.

“Everything went smoothly and comfortably. I am very glad that I was able to attend an event like this. Now I feel healthier physically. And as we lay down to various relaxing melodies at the end, I was able to find answers to some questions that had been bothering me internally. And also to calm down as much as possible,” journalism student Viktoria Chorna concluded.
