The journalist with the program "Secretni Materialy" (TV channel 1 + 1) Denis Danko still had not got his property back, after it had been seized by Security Service of Ukraine during search. The defense counsels filed a complaint against inaction of investigators, as Detektor Media reported citing the lawyer Serhiy Zaporozhets who represented interests 1+1 TV channel and Denys Danka.

“They failed to restitute property to Danko. The order has not been implemented. On March 4, I filed a complaint (another one, for this time) about investigators’ inaction, arguing that there was a ruling they did not respected. Unfortunately, the ruling which has become valid now is not being implemented, ”he said.

In addition, Zaporozhets said that there is already another ruling within this case regarding 1+1 . He did not specify details.

We will remind, on February 27 the Shevchenkivsk district court in Kyiv ordered to return immediately all belongings seized by SBU during the raid to Denys Danko. The court ruled also that the search had been conducted unlawfully.

On January 15th, Youtube “How to trick the head of state” made public an audio recording of the PM at the time Oleksiy Honcharuk, in which he is heard questioning President Volodymyr Zelensky’s competence in economic matters during a private meeting with the head of the national bank.

As IMI reported, on February 5, the SBU officers searched the office of the “Secretni Materialy” project at “1+1” TV channel at 18 Kurenivska Street in Kyiv.

The “1 + 1 Media” group claimed that the SBU was conducting a search of the premises of the Money program and stated that that incident was "total violation of journalistic immmunity and pressure on independent media ".

On February 5, the Head of the Security Service Ivan Bakanov said that search at premises of “1 + 1” TV channel were due to investigation in the case of illegal wiretapping of the Prime Minister Oleksiy Goncharuk. He added that measure was not aiming to make pressure on journalists of “1 + 1”  broadcaster, nor to crack down freedom of speech in Ukraine.
