Invaders set free journalist for Hromadske Victoria Roshchyna

On March 21, the Russian invaders released the captured Hromadske journalist Victoria Roshchina. She is currently in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government and is heading to Zaporizhia to meet with relatives.

A few hours ago, pro-Russian media and Telegram channels began broadcasting a video in which Victoria Roshchina denied her claims to the Russian services which held her captive and said that they had saved her life, as to Hromadske ,

"The journalist recorded this v ideo, which became a condition of his release, under pressure from Russian security forces. Victoria will tell the whole truth about her detention and captivity herself in the near future, ”the statement reads.

Victoria Roshchina made videos and wrote reports from hotspots in eastern and southern Ukraine all days of the Russian-Ukrainian war. 

On March 11, Hromadske published a text by Roshchina, in which she tells how the temporarily occupied Energodar residents were living.

Then the journalist prepared stories about the hostilities in Zaporizhzhya and Donetsk regions. She was going to travel all the way to Mariupol to talk about what was really going on in the city, which has been shelled by Russian troops every day for more than three weeks.

On March 16, we learned that Victoria was probably detained by the FSB. According to eye-witnesses, at that time the journalist was in the temporarily occupied Berdyansk.
