IMI expert Olena Golub elected to selection board of "Honor of profession - 2020" journalism contest

The head of the IMI monitoring department Olena Golub entered the selection board of the journalism competition "Honor of the profession - 2020".

The applications campaign has already started and the deadline is 18^th of March.

This year, the journalists are to compete in six major nominations:

Best interview

Best reporting

Best news coverage of a high-profile event

Best analytics

Best investigation

Best publicism

The journalist can submit only one material in each category. The same material cannot be submitted for more than one category. The applicant has to verify his story meets criteria of the category he/she submitted it for.

The stories that have been published in Ukraine local, regional, national and foreign media from January 1 to December 31, 2019, are eligible to participate in the competition.

The competition is organized by the National Media Association (former Independent Association of Broadcasters).

As IMI reported, on January 24, 2020 Olena Golub, head of the IMI monitoring department, was elected secretary of the Independent Media Council (an independent public body that deals with contentious issues in the media field).
