Hromadske denied report saying Angelina Karyakina's post had been reduced, as Detektor Media reported referring to Hromadske.

“Angelina Karyakia’s labour agreement expired. The editor was offered a different format of the agreement with the same functional responsibilities, but Karyakin was not satisfied with the updated terms of cooperation. The position of editor-in-chief has not been reduced, competition to fill vacant position is to be open soon,”- the message reads.

IMI reported, on January 31st, Hromadske said that Angelina Karyakina was to quit the job of editor-in-chief of Hromadske. As to the press release, the journalist decided to leave on her own volition due to different views on the future of the organization wich differed with this one the management had.

Angelina Karyakina told she had quitted position of editor-in-chief with Hromadske not on her own volition, but she was made redundant.
