The apartment of former RBC Ukraine journalist turned serviceman Dmytro Braslavskyi was damaged in the Russian strike on Slovyansk (Donetsk oblast) on 28 August 2025, Braslavskyi reported in a Facebook post.
“I didn’t hear about it right away, but my apartment was damaged in today’s shelling strike on Sloviansk. ‘Thank you’ brother nation for the ‘liberation’…” Dmytro wrote.
In a comment to the Institute of Mass Information representative Valentyna Troyan, he said that the blast wave damaged the balcony and tore out the front door of the apartment.
“My relatives were there, dealing with the damage on their own. Then they got these OSB boards, boarded up some holes on the balcony. The damage is not critical, the house itself is intact. But it is less than 100 meters away from the epicenter of the strike,” said Dmytro Braslavskyi.
He added that no one was in the apartment at the time of the attack.
As IMI reported, RBC Ukraine journalist Dmytro Braslavskyi enlisted in the Ukrainian Armed Forces in July 2024.
