The Lutsk TV channel “Avers” claims that the head of information policy department of Volynska oblast state administration, Svitlana Holovachuk, did not allow the filming crew of the channel - journalist Maria Petruchyk and camera operator Nelia Prokopchuk to get to the bus for the accredited mass media representatives who were covering the visit of the President's wife Maryna Poroshenko to Volyn on February 21, as is claimed in the story at the channel.
“During the visit of Poroshenko's wife, Ms. Holovachuk refused to allow the journalists of “Avers” to the bus for press. Our journalists had to urgently seek transportation to the location where Maryna Poroshenko was, and not to be late”, the story of the channel reports.
At that, IMI learned that "Avers" journalists were officially accredited for the event.
The channel also informed that Maryna Poroshenko's representative Inna Batiuk called to the office of the media outlet, thanked them for their work and apologized for the behavior of the governor's press secretary.
