The percent of black PR in online media has almost doubled, from 7% to 12% of the total number of materials with signs of being paid-for.
These are the figures of the latest wave of monitoring conducted by the Institute of Mass Information NGO from July 8-12, 2019, * compared to the previous monitoring wave conducted in late June-early July.
The largest number of counter-propaganda materials during this monitoring period targeted the incumbent President Volodymyr Zelensky : 27% of the materials, another part of materials targeting the ex-president of Petro Poroshenko: 20.5% of the materials with signs of counter-propaganda.
As to flattering materials with signs of being paid-for, during this monitoring period, the most part of non-marked as such disguised propaganda aimed to support the "Opposition Platform - For Life" (36.5% of the total number of materials with signs of political order). Yulia Tymoshenko and the party "Batkivshchyna" run be her, took the second position with a large gap, to whose benefit there were revealed 9% of the materials with signs of order from the total number of jeansa.
According to monitoring data, 7% of the materials with signs of being ordered dealt with activities of Petro Poroshenko and the party "European Solidarity". This party has considerably increased the quantity of ordered materials during the last wave of monitoring.
The Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko, who is not the electoral subject at this election campaign, is actively promoting his activity in materials with signs of being ordered : 6% of the materials which were flattering him have been recorded.
About 4% of such materials were revealed to the benefit of Volodymyr Zelensky and the party "Servant of the people", to the Opposition bloc and to the “Radical Party” of Oleh Lyashko.
During the third wave of monitoring, the largest number of materials with signs of order was recorded on websites of “112 channel” (91 unmarked propaganda material), "Obozrevatel" (63 materials during 5 days of monitoring, on the previous monitoring wave, this site had almost twice as little of these materials: 35).
The website of RBC-Ukraine, which ranked third in the anti-rating list, 47 items with signs of order were published.
The material is based on the analysis conducted during the period from July 8 to July 12, 2019 in such media outlets: "Obozrevatel", "Znay.ua", 24th channel, "Gordon", "Ukrayinska Pravda", "Novoe Vremya" UNIAN, "Segodnya", TSN, 112.ua, NewsOne, RBC.ua, "Liga".
