The Lviv Court of Appeal has dismissed claim filed by the Lviv Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (NUAU) against the online edition of ZAXID.NET, as reported on its website referring to the court decision of February 4.

The court hearings in this case have lasted for more than two years. In October 2018, the court of first instance - the Halytsky District Court of Lviv - upheld the demands of the artists’ union, obliging the editorial office to refute the information about the loss of number of buildings belonging to the union of artists.

The row was stirred up by an article, " A Completely non-artistic story, " which came out in May 2017, and revealed that a number of buildings illegally privatized by the artists' association.

In October 2018, the judge of the Halytsky court Natalyia Zubachyk upheld the claim of the union of artists, but on February 4, the Lviv Court of Appeal overturned the decision of the court of first instance and upheld the appeal of company.
