War correspondents of several TV channels and online media outlets congratulated Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny on his birthday.

1+1 war correspondent Oleksandr Motorny posted the video greeting on his Facebook page.

"It is very good when a person appears at the right moment in the rightest place. This is one of such cases. Ukraine, I dare say, is lucky. Wishing you inexhaustible wisdom, strength, and inspiration, along with health, – and it will come: the Great Ukrainian Victory! Happy Birthday!" Motorny wrote.

In their video message, the journalists noted that fighting for the future of Ukraine together with Zaluzhny is an honor for them. They wished him victory and said that they were proud of him.

"A great war gives birth to great heroes. It shows who is fighting for their country sincerely. Who is ready to give their life for it – for real, not just in word. We are war journalists and press officers. This is not the first time we've recorded a video address, but it's the first time we're doing it to congratulate someone. To say that we are proud and to emphasize that in wartime it is very important to remain human. Valeriy Fedorovych, we know why your call sign is Volunteer, we know where you have been since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, where you are now, and what you have sacrificed since 2014. Fighting for the future of Ukraine alongside you is an honor for us. And happy birthday to you! We wish you health and strength enough to keep picking at this rock. Wishing you all-round support, more opportunities to hug your loved ones and, of course, victories. Thank you!” the war correspondents said.

The video address was recorded by journalists for TV channels 1+1 (Andriy Tsaplienko, Natalya Nahorna, Yuliya Kiriyenko, Oleksandr Motorny), Channel 5 (Yevhenia Kytayeva, Hanka Kudryavtseva), "Inter" (Ruslan Smishchuk, Iryna Bahlai), ICTV (Tetyana Nakonechna), Radio Liberty (Maryan Kushnir, Ihor Lohinov), Reports online magazine (Olha Omelyanchuk), Novynarnya (Anastasia Fedchenko), journalist for "Ukrainsky Svidok" project Yevhen Nazarenko, Oleksiy Kashporovsky (former war correspondent for "Ukraina" TV channel), Oleksiy Hudzenko (Ministry of Defense press officer).

Valeriy Zaluzhny was born on July 8, 1973 in Novohrad-Volynsky, Zhytomyr region, in a family of military servicemen.
