Next week, multiple government-authorized events are planned in Russia to mark the anniversary of the war. In this way, the Kremlin is stepping up propaganda before a new wave of mobilization.

Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defense Intelligence department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said this on the nationwide telethon, reports the DI.

According to Yusov, with these events, the enemy intends to fuel their own narratives, to declare that everything is going according to plan and that the Russian military is "defending" the country from the entire West and NATO.

"Namely, this active propaganda is meant to prepare the population for new mobilization measures and for a new wave of mobilization. Russians are being explained why they must silently go to slaughter, following some incomprehensible instructions by the old men in the Kremlin. These are not exactly citizens, they are rather subjects of the Russian Federation, because citizens would defend their own rights and ask questions. Perhaps it will come to that in due time, too," concluded the representative of Ukraine's military intelligence.

It will be recalled that on February 11, the Russian-language edition of Bild reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin was preparing to celebrate the anniversary of the war against Ukraine, which will be February 22. According to the publication, a concert rally will be held at the Luzhniki stadium in Moscow, and Putin will come on stage. They are already hiring extras to form a crowd for this event, offering 500 rubles to each "participant", promising them food and branded clothes.

We will remind you that on February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
