Verkhovna Rada to hold hearing on journalists' safety tomorrow
On November 6, at 12 o'clock the parliamentary committee of freedom of speech is to host the expert hearing "Security of journalistic activity in Ukraine: condition, issues and ways of solving them", as the Committee on Freedom of Speech reported.
The format of the hearings means that the participants can ask questions to the speakers: Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko, Head of the National Police Igor Klymenko, acting Head of the Communications and Press Department of the Ministry of Defense Oleksander Motuzynyk, to an official of the General Prosecutor to be named and to others experts.
Questions may be sent to the Secretariat of the Committee on Freedom of Speech for summing up through 17.00 on November 5 at [email protected].
On October 30, the Committee on Freedom of Speech approved a list of speakers and a procedure for holding parliamentary hearings on the safety of journalists.
