Verkhovna Rada parliamentary administration refused to publish declaration of their chief

12.02.2015, 18:46

Verkhovna Rada parliamentary administration refused to respond to the request of the TV program “Dear Deputies” at Hromadske TV about publication of the income declaration of the chief of Parliamentary Administration Valentyn Zaichuk and his vice, Ivan Kutsyk, Hromadske TV website informs.

The request for information from Hromadske TV was registered on January 21, 2015, and according to the Law “On Access to public information”, had to be reviewed within 5 days - still, even now there is no official response. As the Hromadske's editorial office mentioned, they were hinted that Zaichuk did see the request, but there would be no response. When Hromadske asked to provide an official refusal, the Administration  said they should write one more request for that.

The request was sent because the vice-head of the parliamentary committee for prevention and combating corruption Viktor Chumak said that extra funds for the benefits of MP are given out as bonus for Parliamentary Administration officials.
