Unidentified people blocked TV channel NewsOne using sandbags

On December 3 in Kyiv, unidentified people wearing balaclavas blocked entrance to the office of NewsOne using sandbags and barbed wire. This actions of unidentified people are assumed by the channel administration to be related to broadcasting of march for so-called “people's impeachment” of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. This was reported live by NewsOne, “Detector media reports”.
“The goal of the actions of the unidentified people is unknown sofar. Law enforcement agencies messaged us stating that a blockade of the TV channel NewsOne is being prepared”, the journalist of the channel said during the live broadcast.
According to her report, about 15.00, a truck with large bags loaded with something got close to the office. “Now these people who call themselves "activists", try to block the entrance to NewsOne channel. We were not able to communicate with them as they refuse to comment their actions, they do not explain why they are here and what is the goal of blocking the office”, the correspondent reported, adding that the law enforcement agencies have not shared their point of view on the events yet.
The journalist said that the blockade disrupts normal work of the channel, as it is not known how the guests invited for live broadcasts can get to the studio.
The administration NewsOne assumes that the blockade is related to the fact that the channel is the only one that broadcasts the march for so-called “people's impeachment” of the President of Ukraine, Poroshenko.
This event took place on December 3 in Kyiv - it was organized by Mikheil Saakashvili's "Rukh Novykh Syl" movement, РRadio Liberty reports.
Later, the blockers stated that they disagree with the policy of the channel, as the message at the channel's website states. The activists said that they are unhappy with the words of the MP and the owner of the channel Yevhen Murayev and the policy of the channel. According to them, “if by chance something burns in the office - those are for sure FSB documents being burned”.
The channel administration reported that they already sent a request to the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police. All online broadcasts at the channel are cancelled due to the blockade, and the live connection there is in fact absent due to technical problems with the sound.
Earlier, in the talk show “Ukrainian format” at the TV channel NewsOne, MP Yevhen Murayev, who is the owner of the channel, answering the question of another member of Parliament, Svitlana Zalishchuk, about the events of the Revolution of Dignity, called them a “coup d’état”.
