Unidentified attacked Espresso.TV journalist Artem Shevchenko near BRT Concern
On September 29, in Kyiv near the building of the Broadcasting, Radiocommunications, and Television Concern (BRT) unidentified men attacked Espresso.TV host and correspondent Artem Shevchenko. He reported this in Espresso.TV broadcasting.
According to him, the ex-head of the BRT Concern Kostiantyn Zakharchenko, who tried to take over the Concern’s building, brought there both paid protesters and fighters.
Shevchenko believes these fighters attacked him because he was asking sharp questions about the judicial outrage of the court ruling.
Near the building, two men approached him and his colleague and poured on him some water. One punched them, and the other one kicked. Also, there were about a hundred of paid protesters.
At that site, another Espresso.TV correspondent, Illia Berezenko, also was attacked by unidentified men.
For the context, on September 29, the Broadcasting, Radiocommunications & Television Concern (BRT) reported that it was being taken over by its former acting director general, Kostiantyn Zakharchenko. Zakharchenko refers to the decision of Telmanivsky rayon court in Donetska oblast, which allegedly cancelled the government’s decision to dismiss Zakharchenko from his position. Currently, Telmanivsky rayon is under DPR gunmen’s control.
