Ukroboronprom cuts down on communications with the media after a Reuters report
Joint-stock company "Ukroboronprom" (Ukrainian Defense Enterprise) reported that they were cutting down on the communication with the mass media after a Reuters report that compromised the safety of one of the concern's enterprises.
The Ukroboronprom said this in response to Ukrinform's request for information.
"Following the Reuters report from September 12, 2023, which compromised the safety of a JSC 'UOP' enterprise, communication with the media regarding certain potentially dangerous topics related to production sites and some other details has been limited. We will update you when the situation changes," the answer reads.
The Ukroboronprom emphasized that the work of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex during a full-scale war with Russia is sensitive information and therefore should be carefully dosed out, vetted, and not put the defense industry enterprises, their employees and Ukraine's defense capabilities at risk.
However, the company assured that it would remais open to communication regarding issues of transformation, construction of anti-corruption infrastructure, etc.
