Two Volyn media outlets receive threats about accountability for "russophobic fakes" from russians
The editors of Volyn.Online and Konkurent news agency received threats from the Noname057(16) hacker group again.
This was reported by the editors to the IMI representative in Volyn region.
Namely, on May 9, the editorial office of Volyn.Online received an email in russian with the following text: "Our grandfathers and great-grandfathers defeated the Nazis in 1945, and we will defeat the neo-Nazis in 2022! We are doing the right thing! The enemy will be defeated! Victory will be ours!"
According to journalist Maryana Metelska, this is the 15th email they've received from the "russian world" representatives. However, they do not always write new threats. Maryana Metelska has received the same threats from Noname057(16) three times.
Konkurent editor Andriy Luchyk said that on May 9, they received threats of the following content: "All of Hitler's accomplices had to answer for their actions. Don't you think that you will also have to answer for your russophobic fakes, discrediting the actions of the russian armed forces and lying to your own audience? And, perhaps, very soon."
According to Luchik, the editorial office has already received a dozen letters from the russians.
Earlier, russian hackers had threatened to "down the websites" of Racurs.ua, "Konkurent" news agency, and "Volyn Online".
