TV host turned serviceman Maksym Nelipa killed in combat

Maksym Nelipa, Ukrainian film actor and TV host, participant in the shows “Who’s There”, “People’s Star”, “Diesel Show”, “Dancing With Stars”, has been killed in action, his brother Andriy Nelipa announced in a Facebook post.

He says that Maksym Nelipa enlisted in the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion. He served in the unmanned aerial systems regiment No. 14.

“Max was not just a showman, a comedian, an avid fisherman, but also a warrior, a defender of Ukraine. First as part the Territorial Defense, then in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Lately, he has been 'performing' in the Unmanned Systems Forces: arranging 'hot' fire shows for the Russian occupiers with the help of UAVs,” wrote Andriy Nelipa.

He added that Maksym Nelipa, having the rank of senior lieutenant, had recently been appointed company commander.

The date and place of the funeral will be announced later.

Earlier, Zhytomyr journalist turned UAF officer Bohdan Lysenko was killed in action in Zaporizhzhia oblast.
