Three journalists aggressed in Kyiv
On 21 January, three journalists were aggressed in downtown Kyiv (Petchersk district). Police probes into the case, as the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on its website.
The journalists were on their way home, when some unknown persons approached them in Evhen Konovelets street and a conflict arose. As a result, journalists got injuries, the assailants fled the scene.
The journalists explained what had happened to them to police and sought medical help at the hospital. Two victims filed complaints with police.
The criminal proceedings were instituted under Art. 125 (Intentional minor bodily injury) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Law enforcement officers are identifing all those who had been involved in the incident.
Police note that the incident was not related to the professional activities of the victims.
