The police detained journalist of "Strana.ua" in courthouse in Kyiv

The police of the capital detained 30 people after disorders in Sviatoshynskyi courthouse at the trial against the commander of volunteer battalion of O"UN, Mykola Kokhanivskyi. One of the detained was the journalist of media outlet “Strana.ua” Kyrylo Malyshev, who was conducting a running commentary from the courthouse, “Strana.ua” reports. As the media outlet pointed out Malyshev showed his journalist ID, but the officers simply knocked it from his hands. Kyrylo Malyshev, together with other detained individuals, was transported to police Shevchenkivske station. Later in the day, he was released. Head of the national police Serhiy Kniazev personally called and apologized to Kyrylo Malyshev, the media outlet reports.
