The court arrested for 2 months the man who is suspected of battery and rape attempt of "Inter" journalist

On August 1, Solomianskyi rayon of Kyiv city selected pre-trial restriction for the man suspected of battery and rape attempt against journalist of “Inter”, Anastasiya Luhova - holding in custody until September 28, inclusively.

This was reported at the website of the prosecutor's office of Kyiv city.

Police of Kyiv city was informed on July 31 that in one of the passenger cars of the train Mariupol - Kyiv, a passenger battered and tried to rape a woman.

According to the woman, the man got into her compartment at night, where, in presence of her minor child, started to punch her multiple times in the face, and sexually harassed her.

The victim and her child managed to escape from the perpetrator and reported the event to other passengers and the car attendant.

After arrival of the train to Kyiv main train station, police detained the suspect.

The suspect had previous criminal record (theft), the man was born in Zaporizhzhia in 1975.

He was informed that he is suspected in crime described in part 1 of article 153 (Secual violence), and part 2 of article 122 (Intentional injury of medium gravity) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The doctors diagnosed jaw fracture in the victim, according to the report of her friend, Marusia Riapulova.
