The case on beating of journalists of “Nashi Hroshi” was returned to first instance court

On March 21, 2018, the Court of Appeals of Kyivska oblast cancelled resolution on closing the case regarding obstruction to journalist activities, robbery and beating of journalists of the program “Nashi Hroshi” as of April 28, 2015, when they were taking footage for story about Vice Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Serhiy Chebotar. The case was returned to the first instance court - Kyevo-Sviatoshyn court, which closed the case on February 7, 2018, quoting as a basis for it a forged decree, Bihus.info reports.
During the court session on March 21, judge Yuriy Slyva was questioning the prosecutor of Kyivska oblast about the results of investigations, in particular, concerning forged signature on the decree on closing the case. The prosecutor could not answer what investigative actions were conducted during one year of investigation of forging the document.
To remind you about the case, on April 28, 2015, as the journalists were taking footage for the soty about Vice Minister of Internal Affairs Serhiy Chebotar near his house in the village of Lisnyky , Kyivska oblast, unidentified people attacked the filming crew of the project "Nashi Hroshi". The attackers had beaten the cameraman, smashed the equipment, and escaped. Later, the journalists of "Nashi Hroshi" found out that the attacker was son-in-law of Chebotar, Oleh Polishchuk, and his business partner, Serhiy Havrylko.
