Sushchenko’s wife and daughter visited him in penal colony

"The wife and daughter of the Ukrainian political prisoner, Roman Sushchenko, came to see him with a long, three-day visit at VK-11 in Kirovo-Chepetsk. For now, Roman is OK, " Feyhin posted in Twitter. Feyhin expects that "the new regime in Kiev would take up the issue of exchange of Ukrainian Sushchenko against Vyshinsky." IMI informed earlier, on September 30th, 2016, in Moscow (Russia) Roman Sushchenko, Paris-based Ukrinform’s correspondent had been was illegally detained when he arrive on a private trip and charged with espionage. The Russian FSB claimed Sushchenko was engaged by the Ukrainian military intelligence as professional intelligence officer, with the rank of Colonel he was gathering information on activities of the Russian Armed Forces. Criminal proceedings were instituted against him. Roman Sushchenko denied all accusations. The Ukrainian side stated the charges against a journalist were groundless and demanded to release him immediately. On June 4th, 2018, the Moscow city court convicted Roman Sushchenko to 12 years of the colony of a strict regime, and on September 12th, 2018, the Russian Supreme court upheld the judgment issued by the Moscow city court. On November 7th, 2018, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation informed the Embassy of Ukraine in Moscow that Sushchenko was sent to the colony #11 in the Kirov region (Kirovo-Chepetsk, Utribino village).
