Strangers pose as ZN.UA journalists to get accredited to attend events

19.03.2024, 16:38

ZN.UA ("Dzerkalo Tyzhnia") says that people with no affiliation to the team are trying to get accredited for events on the outlet's behalf. Namely, these people are Olena Zahrebelna and Oksana Lozenko, ZN.UA reports in their Telegram channel.

"We received an notice from the organizers saying that they could identify the people who called themselves our outlet's employees. Currently, we are not sure how many times this has happend, how long it has been going on and what information the pseudo-journalists were able to receive through this scam. The number of the scammers using the ZN.UA brand or their intentions are also unknown," ZN.UA said.

ZN.UA noted that they considered the scammers' actions as an attempt to smear the outlet.

"We thank everyone for their vigilance and understanding. We will try to resolve this situation as soon as possible," the team added.

They provided a link to the list of their full-time employees and freelance authors.
