Special commissioner requests internal investigations due to discrimination against femal journalists in the court

Human Rights High Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada Valeria Lutkovska appealed to the Chief Administration of the National police to conduct internal investigation of the discrimiatory actions of police officers against women in Obolonskyi district court of Kyiv on February 21. This information was posted at the Commissioners' website. the commissioner pointed out that on February 21, law enforcement officers  conducted additional search of visiting women on Obolonskyi district court, including journalists. They women had to remove the overclothes. Also, near the court hall on the fifth floor where the case was considered, some women were asked to go to a separate room with female police officers to show that they have no  inscriptions on their skin. The men were asked to show only their belongings and documents.
