Kostyantyn Hnitetsky, a serviceman and former videographer for Suspilne's Rivne branch was killed by mortar fire in Luhansk oblast, reports "Suspilne Rivne", citing Kostyantyn Hnitetsky's wife.

The man was killed on July 16 by a Russian shelling strike on UAF positions near Dibrova.

Kostyantyn's wife Oksana Fusyk reported his death on Facebook: "My Sun has gone out... I'm sorry, my darling, that I didn't protect you, didn't save you, didn't pray enough for you... I just hope it was quick... You died a Hero. I don't know how to live on, I just don't know how to live without You! A widow... Damn you murderers! There is no forgiveness for you and there never will be."

Before the full-scale invasion, Kostyantyn worked at the Rivne Oblast Culture and Tourism Department and did digitization.

In 2006–2019, he worked with the Rivne Oblast State Broadcaster (RODTRC, merged with Suspilne in 2016) as a videographer.

"Suspilne Rivne" producer Serhiy Tatarenko told IMI that Kostyantyn had worked on the "Rivne 1" TV channel back in the 1990s, and in 2006 they started working at RODTRC at almost the same time.

"He and I were editing the program 'Telesport' every Friday for over a decade. He also edited other TV projects both at RODTRC and later at Suspilne Rivne, where he worked until 2019. These are dozens of projects. I remember him as a very responsible specialist. Too responsible at times, it seemed to me. For example, he was never too lazy to sit down with a dictionary and proofread the titles already reviewed by the editor. He had no trifles. Nothing was trifle to him. He was a talented engineer. When he was already self-employed, he assembled a camera crane all by himself. But the most important thing is that he was a good person," said Serhiy Tatarenko.

According to IMI, Kostyantyn Hnitetsky is the 64th media worker killed by Russia's armed aggression in Ukraine.
