A Russian drone fragment hit the apartment of Suspilne employee Oleh Melnychuk in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district during the overnight strike on 22 October. All residents of the apartment survived, Suspilne reports.
The incident occurred at around 6 a.m. and resulted in a fire breaking out. A State Emergency Service (SES) crew arrived at the scene. The Shahed fragment damaged the outer wall on the balcony side and the fire destroyed the kitchen and a room. The apartment is temporarily uninhabitable. The Suspilne staff are providing the needed support to their colleague.

Russian forces targeted Kyiv with ballistic missiles and attack drones on the night of 22 October. Damage has been recorded in six districts of Kyiv and Brovary. As of 11:30, two people in the capital were killed and 22 injured, including five children.
In July 2025, the Russian missile and drone strike on Kyiv damaged the apartments of Channel 24 presenter Kateryna Soliar and former AGP Media chief editor Oksana Ruzhenkova.
