Romaniuk: the malefactors wanted to steal data from my computer using a letter from the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a bait

28.10.2013, 22:15

Oksana Romaniuk, executive director of the Institute of Mass Information, claims that the malefactors wanted to steal data from her computer using a letter from the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a bait. The letter was from the official governmental address, [email protected], and an attachment from the letter contained a virus that provided malefactors access to her computer.

She also shared that she was already interrogated by the examining officers. "I was interrogated on Friday, I think. Also, they intend to interrogate, or interrogate now, all the employees of the Institute of Mass Information, because, as far as I understand, the first version of the police is that one of my co-workers got access to my files", she told.
